DescriptionOur A-form is a timeless silhouette for girls: so pretty for special occasions yet comfortable and simple enough for your girls to wear every day. It can be worn as a dress with or without stockings, or paired with leggings for extra playability. Each dress comes with a little storybook about the illustration on the front of the dress. The little storybook fits in the PaperGirl Secret Pocket on the side of the dress so that girls can carry their books with them for on-the-go reading. The inside of the pocket is also illustrated.
The front of this dress features “MapaMundi.” It is an intricate pattern made by collaging antique maps with pencil drawings by the artists at the PaperGirl art studio. It is digitally printed on Kona cotton and with proper care it will last a long time. The fabric we use is 100% cotton, which is soft and cool for Spring and Summer. We use high-quality shirting fabrics made of the softest Egyptian cotton and woven in Japan. Our illustrated fabrics are printed in an environmentally responsible facility in North Carolina. Accessories that match this dress will be available soon! THE STORY BOOK: This dress includes a little book titled “MapaMundi.” The story features a little girl that ventures into the depths of the library section of old maps. She falls asleep on top of a big old book and in her dreams she turns into an Admiral who travels the Seven Seas. All our dresses and tops are based on A-shaped silhouettes that will “grow” with your child. This year’s dress can work as a mid-thigh tunic-blouse next year with leggings, and with some girls, may even fit for a third year, just as a shorter blouse. The A-form dress has an adjustable buttoned belt in the back to help adjust to your child’s growing body. We design our clothes so that they will last for more than one season and for more than one child. Our Size Chart: BABY: 9-18 months. This size is cut to a standard 12-month size. It can be worn a bit loosely by babies over 7 months and will most likely fit until your girl is 2-years-old (longer as a blouse depending on body type). Pair it with bloomers or leggings. LITTLE GIRL: 2-4 years. This size is cut to a standard 3T to fit at knee length. It can be worn a bit long when she is two and, depending on body type, will fit above knee until she is 4 years or older. BIG GIRL: 5-6 years. This size is cut to a standard 5T and will fit nicely, with jeans or pants, on 6- and even some 7-year-olds. CARE Yes! This can be washed at home. For best results, we recommend washing these fabrics with phosphate-free detergent in cool or warm water using a gentle or delicate machine cycle. Expect colors to fade a tiny little bit after the very first wash, then remain stable if cared for as directed. This is most notable on darker shades. Front loading washers contribute to color loss due to the increased tumbling action during cleaning. Fading can be minimized through the use of cool wash settings and gentle wash cycles. Needless to say, NEVER USE BLEACH or use spot treatments as they may affect colors. May be hand washed with gentle soap. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly. For best results, iron using standard settings for cotton to achieve a smooth look. If you are in a rush, pull it out of the dryer and smooth it with your hands. Everyone can live with a few wrinkles! Steam may be used to remove wrinkles. For best results, we recommend ironing on the reverse side of the garment or using a clean cloth between the iron and garment for added protection since mineral deposits in the iron and spraying fabric with a water bottle may cause unexpected staining or markings. Yes, you can also dry clean it. STYLE NUMBER: SP15_A_3 Published using Nembol
