Description

Our B-form blouse has an empire-waist silhouette with a simple center pleat in the front and back. This is a pretty everyday top that is best paired with our Bubble Shorts for hot Summer days or leggings and pants for school days. Each blouse comes with a little storybook about the illustration depicted on the top part. The little storybook fits in the PaperGirl Secret Pocket on the side of the blouse so that girls can carry their books for on-the-go reading.
The top section, front and back of the blouse, are illustrated with “The tale of the walrus and the lighthouse”. It is a detailed pencil and watercolor drawing combined with vintage sky maps made by the artists at the PaperGirl art studio. The illustration is digitally printed on 100% cotton and with proper care it will last a long time. The printed cotton fabric is combined with soft 100% cotton gingham so that there is nothing itchy or sticky against your child’s soft skin. We use high-quality shirting fabric made of the softest Egyptian cotton and woven in Japan. Our illustrated fabrics are printed in an environmentally responsible facility in North Carolina. Accessories and playthings that match this dress will be available soon! THE STORY BOOK: This blouse includes a little book entitled, “The tale of the walrus and the lighthouse.” It is the story of Seamus, a lonely walrus who falls in love with a lighthouse. He tries to catch her luminous eye with all his charms and talents, but it is time and patience that ultimately makes the romance between them blossom. All our dresses and tops are based on A-shaped silhouettes that will “grow” with your child. This year’s dress can work as a mid-thigh tunic-blouse next year with leggings, and in some girls, may even fit for a third year, as a shorter blouse. The X-form dress wrap-in-the-back silhouette is cut so that it will continue to fit your girl’s growing body. We design our clothes so that they will last more than one season and for use by more than one child. Our Size Chart: BABY: 9-18 months. This size is cut to a standard 12-month size. It can be worn a bit loosely by babies over 7 months and will most likely fit until your girl is 2-years-old (longer as a blouse depending on body type). Pair it with our Bubble Shorts or bloomers or leggings. LITTLE GIRL: 2-4 years. This size is cut to standard 3T to fit at mid-thigh length. It can be worn a bit long when she is two and it will continue to fit shorter as she grows. BIG GIRL: 5-6 years. This size is cut to standard 5T and will fit nicely—with jeans or pants—on 6- and even some 7-year-olds. CARE Yes! - this can be washed at home. For best results, we recommend washing these fabrics with phosphate-free detergent in cool or warm water using a gentle or delicate machine cycle. Expect colors to fade a tiny little bit after the very first wash, but afterward should remain stable if cared for as directed. This is most notable on darker shades. Front loading washers contribute to color loss due to the increased tumbling action during cleaning. Fading can be minimized through the use of cool wash settings and gentle wash cycles. Needless to say, NEVER USE BLEACH or spot treatments as they may affect colors. May be hand washed with gentle soap. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly. For best results iron using standard settings for cotton for a smooth look. If you are in a rush, pull it out of the dryer and smooth it with your hands. Everyone can live with a few wrinkles! Steam may also be used to remove wrinkles. For best results, we recommend ironing on the reverse side of the garment or using a clean cloth between the iron and garment for added protection since mineral deposits in the iron and spraying fabric with a water bottle may cause unexpected staining or markings. Yes, you can also dry clean it. STYLE NUMBER: SP15_B_1 Published using Nembol
