Lunchtime! blouse and bubble shorts set

$ 140.00

Pair them as a set! Great for being match-matchy or to give as a gift.

Our B-form blouse has an empire-waist silhouette with a simple center pleat in the front and back. This is a pretty everyday top that is best paired with our Bubble Shorts for hot Summer days or leggings and pants for school days. Each blouse comes with a little storybook about the illustration depicted on the top part. The little storybook fits in the PaperGirl Secret Pocket on the side of the blouse so that girls can carry their books for on-the-go reading.

The Bubble Shorts are a fun and cute complement to any of our tops –B-blouse or X-dress– or worn over swimsuits and other Summer tops. Light and comfortable, they are the tailored version of a bloomer.

The story book:

This dress includes a little book entitled, “Lunchtime!” It is a fast-paced story about lunchtime in the ocean. It talks about the food-chain from plankton to sharks in a fun, adventure race that is not scary. There are tiny-swimmers, fast-swimmers, fish with acrobatic flying tricks, and, of course, the cheers from loud seagulls who also want a snack. Set against a sky of vintage sheet music, the frontier between sea and sky is best read with music in the background (the story includes classical music suggestions to make this race to lunchtime more exhilarating).

Yes! -This can be washed at home.

Wash: For best results, we recommend washing these fabrics with phosphate free detergent in cool or warm water using a gentle or delicate machine cycle.
Expect colors to fade a tiny little bit after the very first wash, then remain stable if cared for as directed. This is most notable on darker shades. Front loading washers contribute to color loss due to the increased tumbling action during cleaning. Fading can be minimized through the use of cool wash settings and gentle wash cycles.
Needless to say, NEVER USE BLEACH or use spot treatments as they may affect colors.
May be hand washed with gentle soap.

Dry: Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly.

Iron: For best results, iron using standard settings for cotton for a smooth look. If you are in a rush, pull it out of the dryer and smooth it with your hands. Everyone can live with a few wrinkles! Steam may also be used to remove wrinkles.
We recommend ironing on the reverse side of the garment or using a clean cloth between the iron and garment for added protection since mineral deposits in the iron and spraying fabric with a water bottle may cause unexpected staining or markings.

Yes, you can also dry clean it.

We know that not all kids have the same proportions so we have designed our clothes to be more flexible. All our dresses and tops are based on A-shaped silhouettes that will “grow” with your child. This year’s dress can work as a mid-thigh tunic-blouse next year with leggings, and with some girls, may even fit for a third year, just as a shorter blouse. The A-form dress has an adjustable buttoned belt in the back to help adjust to your child’s growing body.

We design our clothes so that they will last more than one season and for more than one child.

Our Size Chart:

BABY: 9-18 months. This size is cut to a standard 12-month size. It can be worn a bit loosely by babies over 7 months and will most likely fit until your girl is 2-years-old (longer as a blouse depending on body type). Pair it with bloomers or leggings.

LITTLE GIRL: 2-4 years. This size is cut to a standard 3T to fit at knee length. It can be worn a bit long when she is two and, depending on body type, will fit above knee until she is 4 years or older.

BIG GIRL: 5-6 years. This size is cut to a tandard 5T and will fit nicely—with jeans or pants—on 6- and even some 7-year-olds.
