DescriptionOur X-form is a simple yet stylish, modern version of 60’s inspired mod trapeze wrap dress. It is super versatile: wear it over swim suits at the beach or after the sprinkle at the playground, pair it with our Bubble Shorts on a hot Summer day, and layer it with short or long sleeve t-shirts and leggings or pants for cooler days. It wraps in the back, forming an X and closing with snaps at the shoulder. The wrap-in-the back silhouette is very comfortable, allowing for maximum playability.
Each dress comes with a little storybook about the illustration on the dress. This little storybook fits in the PaperGirl Secret Pocket on the side of the dress so that girls can carry there for on-the-go reading. The inside of the pocket is also illustrated. All around this wrap-dress you can see “The sailor who loved to draw.” Inspired by vintage sailor tattoos, all the ink drawings were handmade by the artists at the PaperGirl art studio especially for this dress. The illustration is digitally printed on 100% cotton and with proper care it will last a long time. [click here for care instructions] The lining is super soft and fresh 100% cotton, nothing itchy or sticky against your girls soft skin. We use high-quality shirting fabric made of the softest Egyptian cotton and woven in Japan. Our illustrated fabrics are printed in an environmentally responsible facility in North Carolina. Accessories that match this dress will be available soon! THE STORY BOOK: This dress includes a little book titled “The sailor who loved to draw”. This book tells us the story of Anton, a sailor who uses his spare time aboard a 3-mast sailboat to draw what he sees on his travels, who he met and what he liked and loved on the High Seas. Sad after his paper notebooks got wet during a storm, a sailor friend suggests he use a different surface to keep his drawings safely with him, rain or shine. All our dresses and tops are based on A-shaped silhouettes that will “grow” with your child. This year’s dress can work as a mid-thigh tunic-blouse next year with leggings, and in some girls, may even fit for a third year, just as a shorter blouse. The X-form dress wrap-in-the-back silhouette is cut so that it will continue to fit your child’s growing body. We design our clothes so that they will last more than one season and for more than one child. Our Size Chart: BABY: 9-18 months. This size is cut to a standard 12-month size. It can be worn a bit loosely by babies over 7 months and will most likely fit until your girl is 2-years-old (longer as a blouse depending on body type). Pair it with our Bubble Shorts, bloomers, or leggings. LITTLE GIRL: 2-4 years. This size is cut to a standard 3T to fit at mid-thigh length. It can be worn a bit long when she is two andwill fit shorter as she grows. BIG GIRL: 5-6 years. This size is cut to a standard 5T and will fit nicely—with jeans or pants—on 6- and even some 7-year-olds. CARE Yes! This can be washed at home. For best results, we recommend washing these fabrics with phosphate-free detergent in cool or warm water using a gentle or delicate machine cycle. Expect colors to fade a tiny little bit after the very first wash, then remain stable if cared for as directed. This is most notable on darker shades. Front loading washers contribute to color loss due to the increased tumbling action during cleaning. Fading can be minimized through the use of cool wash settings and gentle wash cycles. Needless to say, NEVER USE BLEACH or use spot treatments as they may affect colors. May be hand washed with gentle soap. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly. For best results, iron using standard settings for cotton for a smooth look. If you are in a rush, pull it out of the dryer and smooth it with your hands. Everyone can live with a few wrinkles! Steam may be used to remove wrinkles. For best results, we recommend ironing on the reverse side of the garment or using a clean cloth between the iron and garment for added protection since mineral deposits in the iron and spraying fabric with a water bottle may cause unexpected staining or markings. Yes, you can also dry clean it. STYLE NUMBER: SP15_X_3 Published using Nembol
